the way i see it
I have loved taking photos ever since I was a little girl. I am a very nostalgic person so the idea of capturing moments has always intrigued me. another major reason I fell in love photography is the people I’ve met through it. I can thank this passion for so many new friendships. However, I really take photos for a reason so much bigger than either of those. I believe that everyone is beautiful and unique, but we so often forget that about ourselves because we live constantly comparing to others. My goal with every photo I take is to remind someone that they are beautiful and worthy of love. I take This mission seriously to help spread light and positivity in this world.
My passion for loving and serving people spills out in many forms in my life. As a nurse practitioner this is seen very tangibly in my day to day job. As a photographer, the creative side of me takes over as I get to tell people’s stories by documenting such important moments of their lives. I believe that in order to love people well, we have to step into others’ shoes and feel what they are feeling. This is my goal every time I use my camera- I want to document what you are feeling and help others feel it too, capturing love in a way that it can forever be passed on to others.
Whether I am photographing your wedding, family portraits, graduation, or any celebration in between, my goal is always the same- to capture the real, authentic moments. We will always get the photos you expect, but ultimately I also want you to have photos that reflect honesty and real life, including the imperfections. That is part of what makes the moments beautiful. When you look back on these photos, my hope is that you will not only smile seeing everyone all dressed up and facing the camera, but you may also laugh as you see the candid photos of your best friend dancing at your wedding reception, or shed a tear at a photo of you sitting and talking with your grandfather. Delivering photos that allow you to relive those experiences and feel those emotions for a lifetime is my greatest joy as a photographer.
